TV Expertise, Energy, EMF manipulation, or something else?
Many investigators and researchers involved in paranormal research, debate whether or not ghosts, spirits, entities (you can pick your favorite term) manipulate the natural electromagnetic field. While it’s true that all things which consume or produce a form of energy give off an EMF field, that does not mean the there is a manipulation of the field, nor does it mean that the association of “ghosts” do either.
Technically, the human body is comprised of a biochemical-electrical energy. As such, since energy cannot be created or destroyed (as defined by “scientific” law), what happens to this energy? Certainly, energy can change from one form to another, but does our energy change after we die. Once our hydro-carbonic bodily shells cease to exist, where does our energy go? This I have found depends a lot upon the individual and their beliefs.
Some believe that the human body is composed of (pardon this expression) the “trinity” of existence: Body, Energy, and Soul. When the body passes away, the energy is redistributed back into the ambience of life itself and our souls (the amassed experience of one’s life) goes to a better place. This theory is commonly attributed to an individual’s spirituality or faith.
Some believe that when the body passes away, the energy maintains both the memories and experience of one’s life and is either passed on to another new life or is reincarnated into a new life. This again is another example of an individual’s spirituality or faith.
Another theory (commonly gaining some ground) is that when the body passes away, the energy of life (biochemical-electrical) changes forms, and that it is this present form of energy that many see as ghosts. This energy may be able to interact or repeat its previous life actions pending on the strength, age, and degradation of the energy. So, if this theory is correct (as it does not involve a spiritual or faithful belief of one’s life), would it be possible to measure this kind of energy? There are many new medical practices that can measure specific attributes within this form of energy; and there are new theories that state it is theoretically possible to manipulate the specifics of this form of energy; BUT, is it more likely that this form of energy has not been researched enough to aptly and correctly measure or apply to the many theories of paranormal activity? Could it be that we need to take a better look into this form of energy and build more accurate and/or specific equipment that registers the biochemical-electrical energy rather than continue to use the modern equipment of today to register only the electrical disturbances of energy.
Too many times today, we see groups improperly using equipment, designed for one purpose and being categorized to measure something completely different. How many times do we need to watch groups using EMF meters (which measure electromagnetic outputs and corresponding disturbances) as virtual Ouija boards? How many times can one endure to watch groups continue to use dowsing rods (which is a crude form of magnetic/flow detection, not electrical) to find suspected “ghosts”? Or probably one of my least favorites, watch groups continue to lead astray others by “their” misguided/wrongful practices, theories, or definitions, when they have not properly researched the subject or are going by the popularity of the idea/practice rather than the actual resulting evidence of the practice. In today’s fad of expensive gadgets and scientific speculation/assumption of gadgets, where is the actual evidence that proves anything more than what the field had tried to prove over 100 hundred years ago? Too many new researchers/investigators are getting caught up in the latest and greatest and not taking the time to rationalize what they are actually doing.
Is it possible that the human BEC energy can cause disturbances in the EMF field, sure; though there is little proof towards only the magnetic field alone? Is it possible that human BEC energy changes into an EMF form of energy once it is separated from it body, possibly? But until any form of proof can be attained, common sense dictates that there must be other methods. Current methods are too questionable to state an EMF spike means a “ghost” is present, yet many still state this. Does energy manipulation always cause hot/cold spots, movements of objects, or shadow people to appear; lots of people seem to think so though they can’t prove it. Truly, if one cannot prove their evidence (at least by their own accord), then why do they go around calling themselves (or letting themselves be called) paranormal experts? Even more, is it possible to an expert in the unknown?
In a perfect world, there would be no questions, BUT, since this obviously isn’t a perfect world… please don’t go around publically announcing proof because you detected an EMF spike, a change in the temperature, an unclear (only possible) EVP, or have a blurry picture/video that can only be speculated at best as to what it may be. We (as investigators/researchers) must start thinking a little more with what we can at least attempt to prove and less on what is accepted without proof just because it was seen on TV. Equipment must be designed and used with specific reasons towards an investigation. Temperature meters to find drafts or cracks in walls/doorways; great that’s what they are made for. EMF meters are used to detect high fields that can cause interference, not to talk to with ghosts. Recorders, both video and audio, have had some success within the field, BUT, only if it is clear and unmistakable with detailed documentation and proof to rule out false positives or intended faking. Try to be less accepting of what “may” be and more intent of finding answers of what “could” be.
Just my opinion of a growing problem within the field, but I may be wrong. If so, at least prove it to me with facts, not speculation.
