Chris Ratliff (founder of PGR-IN) began his endeavours into paranormal research in 1994. He had a fascination from an early age after seeing such movies as Ghost Ship (1943), Ghost Chasers (1951), The Original Ghost Busters (1975), and Ghostbusters (1984). After Graduation in 1994 he hooked up with a storm chasing team for a few months before running into Mike Randerhan and Wes Caplan (the original founders of PGR). After a few investigations with their group, he was hooked. Years later (in 2006), both Mike and Wes decided to start into a new aspect of the paranormal field and turned over the PGR group to Chris. Since that time he has made the team become based more into science minded investigations and logical reasoning than an interactive (metaphysical studies) group and freely published the team handbook for public use.

In 2006, shortly after taking over the leadership of the group (now PGR-IN), he stumbled across a post for a new organization made up of investigators from around the world, International Paranormal Investigators. He became very active within the forums and enjoys the information, ideas, theories, and experimentation posted there on an (almost) daily basis. He became the 1 of 3 IN state Reps for a time before becoming the sole IN Representative at the present time. Continuing within the Organization, he has not only received many new insights on the paranormal but has been able to express his own ideas as well. He has since been graciously accepted as the US New England Region Head Representative and continues today to inform others about IPI and the goals & ideals behind the organization.
