Darren is from Melbourne, Australia and his interest in ghosts was boosted after he encountered an apparition. The encounter lasted over five minutes and set him on a path to discover more.

Having a somewhat analytical mind he spent quite a few years researching the different methods people use to investigate the paranormal before deciding on the approach he wished to adopt – one which is backed by logical data collection and analysis. He formed Ghost Research International for this purpose.

The benefits of working alongside likeminded groups around the world encouraged Darren to form the GRI affiliate network as well as becoming a TAPS Family Representative and Representative of International Paranormal Investigators (IPI).

When asked of the benefit of joining groups such as IPI Darren stated, “True research involves sharing with peers and such networks allows this. The various teams involved contain many members - each with their own views, experiences and areas of expertise. Therefore the clients, research groups and the overall quality of research all can benefit … It’s a win – win situation!“
