On the IPI forums I am known as “CaveRat” because of certain places, deep underground , that I have been known to frequent. But that’s another subject…..
I have been investigating reports of paranormal activity since the mid 1970s. It was the UFO flap of 1973 that got me interested and questioning what people were seeing. There were several reports locally of objects sighted, and the reports caught my interest. I decided to talk with some of the witnesses myself, and my investigations expanded from there.
Since that time I have investigated cases locally and across the country. I have worked with other investigators and groups, consulting and providing evidence analysis. More recently, I have branched out to include reports of ghosts and haunting activities.
With the advent of the internet I established a presence online, joining with several internet discussion forums. Many of these came and went, as a lot of things do when it comes to computers. It was following the breakdown of a regional group that several of us from that endeavour came together to form what would become IPI. It was 2006.
I could see from the beginning that this would be a way to share information. As an Independent Researcher I learned long ago that it was necessary to establish connections, otherwise you were essentially cut off from what the rest of the investigating community was doing. But as an
independent I was used to doing things without the politics often found in a group environment.
IPI fit my needs because it is not a paranormal group; rather it is a forum allowing individual Investigators and groups a platform to share knowledge. Each member remains aligned first with their own group or as an independent.
In 2009 I was appointed Head Rep for the Mid-Atlantic Region of the U.S. covering the states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. It is my goal for this region that all IPI groups and Representatives work together to promote the purpose of IPI and at the same time maintain their
individuality and responsibility to their own Organizations. To that end I am available to anyone who has an issue or question regarding IPI and how it affects them.
If you are curious about the unknown, and believe that you can contribute to the advancement of the research there is a place for you in IPI.
Anyone, regardless of group affiliation may contact me to make a report, request an Investigation, have evidence analyzed, or just inquire about something related to the unexplained they have encountered.
